Mission Statement:
The major objective of the Environmental
Industry Summit is to put 2003’s environmental industry business conditions
into a strategic context for senior executives responsible for charting or
executing their company’s strategic plan. Emphasis will be placed on 1)
big-picture, long-term issues like industry dynamics, business cycles and broad
environmental policy priorities; and 2) short-term tactical issues like new
regulations, effects of competition and how to allocate next years marketing
budget.
Recognizing that there are
both common and unique business issues in each environmental industry segment,
the conference provides plenary sessions exploring issues of common interest as
well as specialized sessions. Holding the
Environmental Industry Summit in San Diego in March also allows senior
executives to network with their colleagues in a casual yet productive retreat
that combines business with pleasure in a setting conducive to both.
Agenda:
The agenda of the Environmental Industry Summit 2003 is divided into three sections with a distinct theme each day. Wednesday is the State-of-the-Industry report looking a recent sector and company performance. Thursday is the short-term outlook or the “inside-the-box” look at specific markets and management issues in three groups (C&E, haz waste and solid waste), Friday is the long-term vision for the environmental industry or the “outside-the-box” thinking on where markets and companies need to go.
