EI’s Environmental Services Directory
In 1988, Environmental Information (EI) first introduced its EI
Environmental Services Directory. It quickly became the most comprehensive
reference directory of environmental services in the United States.
Eventually the directory reached over three thousand pages requiring
five three inch notebook binders. The directory was one of the
first electronic services offered by Envirobiz.com in the early
1990s. In 2006, this venerable reference of the US environmental
services sector will be undergoing some significant changes of
its supporting database and internet software.
This reference directory focuses on asbestos abatement, environmental
consultants, emergency spill response, engineering firms, laboratories,
soil boring firms, surveyors, well drillers and other similar environmental
services in the United States. The profile are designed to provide
the user with basic information as to a environmental service firm’s
capabilities.
When released in fall 2006, a new query form will also be introduced.
The new query format will help users to more accurately and quickly
identify firms matching their specific project needs. Please visit
our demonstration page to view a similar query form being used
for the other directories on Envirobiz.com.
The query form under development, will basically allow the user
to indentify firms based on the
- location
- type of project
- type(s) of environmental services
Each search is done solely on the basis of selected criteria.
No fee is charged to the companies for being included in the directory.
The inclusion of a specific company does not constitute an endorsement
of the company nor is it intended to infer the company is in compliance
with all environmental rules and regulations. It is recommended
that before using any company, that further due diligence is done
on the company.
The Environmental Information researches these companies by telephone
and written surveys. The information about each facility in this
directory relies upon the accuracy of the information provided
by the company. Likewise, the absence of information on a company
is an indication that the company has chosen not to provide the
information.
Environmental service firms interested in assuring they are scheduled
to be included in the directory should contact environmental information.
