EI Hazardous, Industrial, & Universal Waste Directory
In the early 1980s, a small entrepreneurial company named Environmental Information Limited (“EI”) began providing hazardous waste management professionals with a printed directory, the EI Hazardous Waste Firms, which included information on waste hazardous waste facilities in the United States.  Later, in the early 1990s, this directory was published under the name EI Environmental Services Directory.

In creating the EI Hazardous, Industrial and Universal Waste Directory, The Envirobiz Group, Inc. has included data on facilities identified in both the EI Environmental Services Directory and the Chartwell Municipal Solid Waste Directory that accepts hazardous and nonhazardous industrial waste. Envirobiz is also expanding its research to include universal waste facilities. Facilities that provide reuse and recycle options as well as waste to energy, waste treatment, and waste disposal are within its expanded scope.

The basis for inclusion in the online EI Hazardous, Industrial, and Universal Waste Directory is that the facility accepts hazardous wastes, nonhazardous industrial wastes and/or universal wastes.  The directory includes both government and privately owned municipal solid waste facilities. The diverse scope of facilities included are commercial boilers and industrial furnaces, incinerators, hazardous waste landfills, solvent recovery facilities, metal recovery facilities, transfer stations, treatment facilities hazardous wastewater treatment and other similar facilities. If a municipal solid waste facility accepts nonhazardous waste and/or universal waste, it is included in this directory. The information provided in this case, would be the same as provided in the Chartwell Municipal Solid Waste Directory.

The number of facilities in the online EI Hazardous, Industrial, and Universal Waste Directory will change from time to time as new facilities are added to the directory and closed facilities are removed.  Correspondingly, the information on individual facilities in the online EI Hazardous, Industrial and Universal Waste Directory will also periodically change to reflect information obtained from our ongoing survey efforts. Consequently, unlike the past printed directories that only reflect facilities at the time of printing, the online EI Hazardous, Industrial and Universal Waste Directory is a dynamic references source.

The online EI Hazardous, Industrial, and Universal Waste Directory is simple to use; with the possible exception of the most novice internet users, minimal time is needed to get staff using the search function of this business tool.  The search results are organized so that it is easy to scroll through the search results. The information on each facility is provided in an easy to understand standard layout. The demonstration below illustrates how a user can easily and quickly use our standard search process.
